Theo Wanne Presentation, Mouthpiece Trial, And Mouthpiece Refacing

PM Woodwind is very excited to welcome, for the first time, mouthpiece expert Theo Wanne for a presentation, mouthpiece trial, and personal mouthpiece refacing.

Theo Wanne is the foremost expert on vintage and new mouthpiece design. Theo is one of the few living mouthpiece refacing masters. Mouthpiece Refacing is the art of modifying a saxophone mouthpiece to get a desired effect. Any musician can hand Theo his or her mouthpiece, tell him their desired sound, and Theo can modify the mouthpiece to achieve that sound.

Theo will be giving his mouthpiece presentation “History Of The Saxophone Greats Through Mouthpiece Design” on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 11am – 12:30pm. This will be followed by customers being able to try Theo’s Mouthpieces from 12:30pm – 4pm. Theo will have a large selection of mouthpieces to try so bring your sax and enjoy!! No reservation is necessary. Please don’t miss the presentation!

Also, on Sunday afternoon Sept. 18 from 11am -4pm, Theo will be taking appointments to work on mouthpieces. The appointments will be in half hour time blocks so please email or call to set up an appointment. We will also be taking appointments after the presentation on Saturday afternoon. These refacing appointments on Sunday are limited so please schedule early.
